At the very top of our 'grab them before they go' list is one of our most iconic styles - the Hampton Canvas plimsolls collection, affectionately known as the Plum.
We named them the Plum as a nod to Plum Island, Massachusettes; a place that evokes sunshine filled beach holidays, sand dunes and carefree family gatherings.

Soft and squidgy enough to be worn barefoot or paired with cotton socks for extra coverage, these machine washable elasticated pull-on Plums for girls and boys alike are heroes without capes! In an ever-changing palette our Plums come in a rainbow of colours from the palest pastels through to saturated brights; and Liberty prints to metallic accents. Our size range goes from a UK 4 to a UK 9 - which makes them a great elder sibling or mummy gift too.

The Tecchie Bits

We have worked for many years with a wonderful Spanish manufacturing team who pride themselves on the hand finishing of every single pair, and the level of craft that goes into this process is amazing.
100% organic cotton is dyed to our exact specification, with new hues landing every season to complement our clothing ranges perfectly.

The cotton canvas is then cut with a knife to the Plum pattern, and the pieces are bound and stitched together with elastic panel and eyelet details then added.
Adding the 100% natural rubber sole to the upper is a technological wonder! A process called vulcanisation where rubber beads are melted at 127 degrees to create the solution, with the canvas uppers then hand dipped and left to cool and set on wire racks.

Strawberries & Cream

We love our non-slip and durable rubber soles - but maybe the original smell not so much! So, we added in a strawberry scent to the beads, ensuring that they smell fresh and light, rather than of the heating process they went through to make them. Our customers often comment on the strawberry smell of the creamy-white soles as they open the shoebox each pair is popped into. It is an evocative Trotters childhood memory for many!
